German photographer from Überlingen am Bodensee, 16. April 1913 - 7. September 2000.
Well known for his photos of classical music artists.
Lauterwasser became Herbert von Karajan's preferred photographer from 1962 onwards. From 1967 to 1988, Lauterwasser was photographer at the Salzburg Easter Festival.
Not to be confused with his son, visual artist and photographer Alexander Lauterwasser (1951).
