Brazilian cavaquinho player and songwriter. In 1950 he recorded his first solo release on Continental, playing two choros on cavaquinho: "Cinco Malucos", written by himself, and "O que é que há", by Dilermando Reis. In the 50s he founded his own orchestra, with singers such as Albertinho Fortuna. He recorded almost forty 78 rpm records with Continental.
