“This shelf smells like a basement rec room in the GTA circa 1984, in the best possible way. The seventies are doing heavy lifting with sixty-eight records, anchored by seven Zeppelin LPs and five from Rush. You have twenty-eight of the fifty most-owned records in the whole database, which means you bought the map everyone else used, but you actually bothered to keep them in alphabetical order. Bob Ludwig's name sits quietly inside twenty-two deadwaxes without you ever having to say it out loud. At the same time, the gaps tell the real story of what's missing between the blockbusters. Missing Animals out of the Pink Floyd run is a glaring hole when you've already got The Wall sitting right next to it. Rush is missing Permanent Waves and Hemispheres from that exact same stretch. It's a rock-solid foundation built on massive 70s stadium hitters, but it leaves some obvious floorboards uncovered. Stop buying the standard-issue gatefolds for five minutes and fill in the missing pieces.”

The Clerk's take
Twenty-eight out of fifty.
More than half the global Gatefold heavy-hitter list sitting right here in one stack. You looked at the consensus pick and went fuckin' rights every single time. That's not a collection, that's a gift shop.
Led Zeppelin II
Jimmy Page is credited on eight of your records. The man engineered the mid-range until the whole room rattles. Seven Zeppelin records deep and you're still missing half the run.
Sixty-eight records from the seventies.
The seventies dominate the shelf at sixty-eight deep, backed up by forty-one in the eighties. Led Zeppelin locked down from 1969 through 1979 across seven releases. Real heavy-rotation work right there.
Signals on the back wall.
Rush from 1975 to 1982 with five albums on the planks, though you skipped Permanent Waves. Pull Signals off the shelf tonight and let that synthesizer run.
