26 Mixes for Cash is a compilation album of remixes produced by Richard D. James (better known by his recording alias of Aphex Twin) for various artist, plus four original track. It was released on March 24, 2003, by Warp Record. 26 Mixes for Cash was released on CD only, although a vinyl promotional disc entitled 2 Mixes on a 12" For Cash, featuring the two Aphex Twin originals exclusive to this compilation, was released in limited quantities in Japan only. Ok very happy to clear this ancient question up. The album was actually named '26 remixes for cash' by Rob Mitchell RIP . He said I should name the album this after I told him how I dealt with all the remix payment. Every remix I did for this up until it's release I had met the representative or artist somewhere in central London and got paid in cash, so nobody would have my details or know where I lived. .
