About
Pink Floyd's groundbreaking fusion of progressive rock and symphonic music is central to their most beloved releases. The London Orion Orchestra’s interpretation of the group's most famous songs is clever and deeply gratifying: they supplant distorted guitars for a low brass, interpret synth flourishes on harp and vibraphone, and adding chill-inducing symphonic swells. The extended form of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond” works best as a stand-alone symphonic suite, while several beautifully arranged, guitar-backed versions of “Wish You Were Here” (including one with an Alice Cooper vocal!) are just as fun.
