Graceful darts of violin twirl alongside glammy harmonies on the sprightly "Fallin' Apart," while piano accents add a wistfulness to the chugging power ballad "Back to Me." Folk-pop act The Pierces contribute hushed, lonely vocals to "Another Heart Calls," and even the record's more straightforward rockers—such as the strutting, vengeful "Gives You Hell" or the elastic grunge holler "Believe"—possess a mature sonic outlook.
