Biography

Marco Polo (real name Marco Bruno) is a hip-hop producer and beatmaker from Toronto, Canada, known for his hard-hitting boom-bap production style.
He gained recognition in the mid-2000s, working with underground and established artists alike. His debut album, Port Authority (2007), featured collaborations with legends such as Masta Ace, Kool G Rap, and Buckshot. Over the years, he has continued to craft beats for artists like Pharoahe Monch, Torae, and Large Professor.
Marco Polo is respected for his dedication to classic hip-hop production, using sample-based techniques and rich, textured drum patterns. His follow-up projects, including The Stupendous Adventures of Marco Polo (2010) and PA2: The Director’s Cut (2013), solidified his status as one of the premier producers in underground hip-hop.
