SHOPIFY APP · BUILT FOR RECORD SHOPS

Turn your Shopify store into a proper record shop.

Gatefold fills in the part collectors actually read — the pressing, the year, the matrix, the grade, the tracklist, the cover art — on every listing. Scan a barcode or the sleeve; the pressing database does the digging. Then it drops record-store shelves right on your storefront.

A record on a bare Shopify page is a title, a price, and a shrug. Collectors want what Discogs gives them — pressing, catalog number, country, year, condition — without opening five tabs. Gatefold puts it right on the product page. Automatically.

What it does

Four jobs. Zero typing.

Everything a record store has to write out by hand — the app already knows.

SCAN

Enrich every listing

Scan a barcode or photograph the sleeve. Gatefold pulls the pressing details, tracklist, front + rear cover art, and condition, then writes them into the product, its metafields, and its tags. It’s the pressing database — not a chatbot.

IMPORT

Import your Discogs stock

Connect Discogs and your for-sale listings become live, enriched Shopify products. One inventory, one system of record — no re-typing, no tab-switching.

STOREFRONT

Dress the storefront

Zero-code widgets you add in the theme editor: Pressing Details and Tracklist on every product page, a Grail Wall and New Arrivals on the homepage. Real record-store furniture, no developer.

COPY

Let the Clerk write

On the Demand plan, the Clerk writes the sales copy for each record — in your shop’s voice, grounded in the facts. The specs stay factual. The swagger is yours.

FAQ

The questions you’d actually ask.

Do I need a Gatefold account?

Nope. Install the app and go — a Gatefold account is an optional upgrade later, not a gate.

My used stock has no barcodes.

Photograph the sleeve. Cover scan finds the release; you pick the exact pressing. Old bins were the whole point.

Will it touch my existing listings?

No. Enrichment lands in its own block on the product; your own copy is never overwritten. Regenerate or delete any of it, anytime.

What themes does it work with?

Any Online Store 2.0 theme. The widgets are optional blocks you add in the theme editor — no code, no developer, no ticket.

What about my customers’ data?

We don’t want it. Gatefold reads your products and the pressing database — not your orders, not your shoppers. Clean GDPR story by design.

What languages?

Ten. The listing output follows your storefront’s language, so a Japanese shop gets Japanese specs.

Stop typing catalog numbers.

Install Gatefold, scan a record, and watch a bare listing turn into the back of the sleeve.
