Discogs notes and ratings
Your Discogs notes and star ratings come with your collection, so the details you've already written down follow you. Gatefold has two ratings, and only one of them ever talks to Discogs.
Do my Discogs notes and ratings come in?
- The note on each Discogs record shows up on that record in Gatefold.
- A Discogs star rating arrives as the record's Sound rating.
What's the difference between Album and Sound?
- Sound is how the record sounds: this pressing, this copy. It's the one Discogs stars map to.
- Album is what you think of the music. It stays in Gatefold.
Can my ratings go back to Discogs?
- Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Sources.
- Tap Manage on your Discogs row.
- Turn on Share Sound ratings on Discogs. It's off by default.
Your Sound rating then goes to Discogs as whole stars, rounded down: 3.5 here is 3 there. Stars you set on Discogs always come in.
What never goes back?
Your Album rating and your notes stay in Gatefold.
