Send albums and playlists to Tidal
If you stream on Tidal, Gatefold can put what you find into Tidal for you: an album, a playlist, your wantlist. Nothing is added unless you tap.
What do I need first?
The buttons only appear once Tidal is connected. Connect it under Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Sources > Tidal.
If you connected Tidal before late October, reconnect once. The buttons read Reconnect Tidal to add or Reconnect Tidal to send. One tap sends you through Tidal's consent screen and back, and they work after that.
How do I add one album to Tidal?
- Open the record's Kebab (3 dots) menu.
- Under Elsewhere, tap Add to Tidal.
It goes into your Tidal collection and reads On Tidal after. If Tidal doesn't seem to carry it, the app says so and adds nothing, because I'd rather add nothing than the wrong record. The same button is on the album pages in Discover.
How do I send a Clerk playlist?
On a playlist card, tap send to tidal. It becomes one Tidal playlist.
How do I send my wantlist?
On the Want tab, tap Send to Tidal in the header. It becomes one Tidal playlist.
What happens if I send it again?
Sending again updates the same Tidal playlist. New albums go in and nothing gets removed. If Tidal slows down partway, the app says so. Send again and it picks up the rest.
Can I push my whole shelf to Tidal?
- Push your whole shelf to Tidal is MOSH. It's in the Tidal panel under Sources, in Two-way mode. Free accounts can pick Two-way but can't push the shelf.
