Tidal
Tidal works the same way Apple Music does: pick what you want from it, connect, and change your mind later. Nothing leaves Gatefold unless you tap.
How do I connect Tidal?
- Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Sources > Tidal.
- Tap Manage on the Tidal row.
- Choose a mode, then tap Connect Tidal. Tidal's own login page opens, and you land back in Settings.
- Just play my music: stream through the Tidal player inside Gatefold. It plays while the screen is on; there is no CarPlay and no lock-screen playback. Nothing is imported.
- Import my favorites: your Tidal favorites come onto the shelf, plus the same playback.
- Two-way: import, and send things back to Tidal.
How do I import and sync?
- Tap Import Library, or Sync now on the row.
- Gatefold also pulls on its own, the first time you open the app after 24 hours on that device. Just play my music never auto-pulls.
Can I send things to Tidal?
Yes. These are free and only run when you tap: Add to Tidal on a record's menu, send to tidal on a Clerk playlist, Send to Tidal on the Want tab. If you connected before late October, tap Reconnect Tidal once so Tidal can grant write access. The full walkthrough is here: send albums and playlists to Tidal.
Which part is MOSH?
- Push your shelf to Tidal (inside Two-way) adds the records on your shelf to your Tidal collection, only what's new each time, and never removes anything. In Two-way on MOSH it also runs after the daily pull.
- Free accounts can pick Two-way; the push button is the MOSH part.
