Your public profile and its switches

A public profile is a link you can hand to a friend, or to someone buying you a record. It's off by default, and you choose what's on it.

Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Public Profile. Under Your public URL, type a display name and tap Save. That name is the end of your link. You need at least 3 characters before the profile can go public.

How do I make it public?

  1. Turn on Make profile public.
  2. Your link appears with Copy share link and View as visitor →.
  3. When it's off, visitors to the link get a not-found page.

What can visitors see?

Four switches, under What visitors see. They only take effect while the profile is public.

  • Shelf: records, grails, recent spins, concerts attended.
  • Wantlist: records you're hunting.
  • Badges: trophies you've earned.
  • Clerk's Take: the verdict, the roast, Today's Read, The Win and Buried Treasure from your Collection Stats.

Your ratings and notes aren't shown.

Does it change what the Share page prints?

Yes. Cards you make on the Share page print this address only when the matching switch is on. Turn Shelf off and a shelf card prints gatefold.fm instead. Open the Share page.
