Erick Sermon was born on November 25, 1968, in Bay Shore, New York. He is a hip-hop artist and record producer, best known as one half of the duo EPMD, alongside Parrish Smith aka PMD. Sermon has had a significant influence both as a performer and behind the scenes, producing for a wide range of artists including Das EFX, Redman, Method Man, LL Cool J, SWV, En Vogue, Keith Murray, and Jay-Z. Beyond his work with EPMD and the Hit Squad collective, he has maintained a solo career and remains active in music production. He has a daughter with Gloria Rodriguez.
