How Gatefold works with Discogs
You don't need Discogs to use Gatefold. If your collection already lives there, connect it and Discogs stays the record of what you own. Gatefold reads it and turns it into a shelf you can play, search and talk about: Spin of the Day, your Stats and the Clerk all work from it.
What comes in from Discogs?
- Your collection, with your folders as shelves.
- The note on each record.
- Your star ratings, as each record's Sound rating.
- Your wantlist, when you tap Import from Discogs on the Want page.
What goes back to Discogs?
- Records you add in Gatefold, while Sync adds to Discogs is on (it is by default).
- Your Sound ratings, only if you turn on Share Sound ratings on Discogs (off by default).
- Your Gatefold wants, when you tap Push to Discogs on the Want page.
- Never: your Album rating or your notes.
Where do I set all this?
Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Sources. Connect, sync, the two switches and the folder picker are all on your Discogs row.
