The three lenses: G-Force, Cover and Speedo
The middle of the drive screen is one of three views of the same drive. Pick the one you like to glance at. They all read the same sensors.
How do I switch views?
On the live drive screen, swipe left or right across the view, or tap the dots under it. It goes G-Force, Cover, Speedo, then back around. It opens on G-Force.
The top corners are the same on all three: your speed on the left, and on the right a readout that changes stat every few seconds.
What's G-Force?
A turntable platter with a trail that moves as the car speeds up, brakes and corners. It shows grooved vinyl, not cover art. The readout cycles through things like ACCEL, BRAKE, PEAK G, LATERAL and CORNERS.
What's Cover?
The cover of what's playing, with a green glass marble rolling around on it as the car moves.
What's Speedo?
A speed dial with a compass ring that turns with your heading. Speed is in km/h if your region uses it, otherwise mph.
Can I put the phone sideways?
Yes. Sideways, Driving Mode splits in two: the instruments on one side, and the controls (player and voice orb) on the driver's side. It picks left-hand or right-hand drive from your region. A small switch at the bottom of the first screen flips it.
Are any of the views MOSH only?
No. G-Force and Speedo show a Mosh Preview badge when you switch to them, but they're free for every account today. Nothing about the views is limited.
