Set up Marquee and Autolisten

How do I set it up?

1. Plug the phone in and turn off battery saver.
2. Kebab (3 dots) > Marquee (open it).
3. The first time, a four-step guide runs: what Marquee is, plug it in, connect Last.fm, add your gear. You can get it back any time from the dock's 3-dot menu > Help & setup.
4. Allow the microphone when it asks. Listening starts on its own.

Can the phone sit sideways?

Yes, in the iPhone and Android apps, and Marquee rearranges itself. Apart from a live drive in Driving Mode, the rest of the app stays upright on a phone.

How long does it listen?

Dock 3-dot menu > Autolisten. Pick 1H, 2H, 3H, 4H or AUTO. The default is 3H. Tap Extend 2h to add time to a timed session.

• AUTO has no timer. The mic stops after 20 minutes with nothing recognised, or after 3 hours if it never caught a record.
• A timed session also stops after those 20 quiet minutes once a record has played.
• When the mic stops you'll see Mic paused. Tap Resume listening. Mic blocked means iOS or Android has the mic turned off for Gatefold. Mic didn't start: tap Try again.
• The mic stops when the app goes to the background or the screen locks, and starts again when you come back.

How do I get out of it?

Tap the screen to bring up the dock, then press and hold Hold to exit, or dock 3-dot menu > Exit Marquee. The controls hide again after three seconds.
