What Marquee logs and scrobbles

Marquee keeps your listening history without a tap. Here's what it writes down, and when it doesn't on purpose.

Does it log a spin?

Yes. When Marquee recognises a record you own, it adds a spin to your Spin History. Play the same album again the same day and it updates that spin instead of adding a second one. "Day" means your own local day. Once a record is on, it follows the tracks along by itself, so one side is about one lookup, not one per song.

Does it scrobble to Last.fm?

Yes, for free, once Last.fm is connected and Auto-scrobble spins is on.

  1. Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Connections.
  2. Connect Last.fm, then turn on Auto-scrobble spins.

An album it hears scrobbles once it finishes. Play it again after about 40 minutes and that counts as a new listen. Two copies of the same album heard on the same day give you one scrobble.

What if I don't own the record?

Marquee says "You don't seem to own ...". Tap Want to put it on your wantlist, or Add to collection to open the add flow with the artist and title filled in.

What's the Pressings button?

  • Pressings on that card opens the Pressings explorer, which is MOSH. Free accounts see Want and Add to collection only.
