Origin, the map and Their world

The top of an artist page tells you who they are and where it started. Below the records, the page follows the people around them.

Where does an artist come from?

  1. Open any artist page, for example from the artist name on an album (your shelf).
  2. The bio is headed The Clerk Says. When there's more than one write-up, tap the arrows beside source to flip between The Clerk, Apple Music, Discogs and Last.fm.
  3. The line under the name tells the story in order: born or formed, then places active, then places recorded. Each place links to Atlas, and "+N more places" unfolds the rest.

Can I see their places on a map?

Yes. Lower on the page, the On the map plate pins their places. Three keys filter it: Recorded in, From, Active in. If you own their records, Open on the map takes the plate into Atlas. With none on your shelf, "Recorded in" is shut and says why.

Who else shares a member with them?

Tap Their world on the plate. A panel lists every artist who shares a member with them, split by whether you own them. Tap one to fly the map there. It's free for everyone.
