Your shelf against an artist's discography

The artist page answers "what have I got, and what am I missing?" It lays the career out in order and marks your copies, so the gaps on your shelf are easy to spot.

How do I see what I'm missing?

  1. Album Page > tap the artist's name. Or open a search and tap the artist heading.
  2. Scroll past the bio. Studio Run is their studio albums. Live Run and Compilations & Box Sets show up only when they have any.
  3. Each heading reads "N of N owned" on the right.
  • A record you own says On your shelf and has Spin (and play, when a streaming service is connected).
  • A record you don't own is dimmed. Tap it and a sleeve opens with a way to add it or dig further, plus a heart for your wantlist.
  • On a computer the grid shows eight, then show all N.

What about the other bands they played in?

Each one gets its own section after the solo run, ranked by how much of it you own. The heading links to that act's page. A label beside it says same act or former when MusicBrainz records it. The line under the name counts "N records across N projects".

What are Essentials and Deep Cuts?

Below the record sections there are two rows of covers: the artist's best-known songs (Essentials) and the ones the heads know (Deep cuts), grouped under the album they're on, with a count under each cover. Tap one to see the songs, each with a star or gem mark, and Open your copy if you own it. A row with no match hides itself.

What does MOSH add?

  • Pressings on records you don't own. Each one shows Buy at (your store) to everyone. The pressings button next to it is MOSH only and opens the pressings explorer. Free keeps Buy.
