Person pages: credits across your shelf
A producer or engineer is on more of your records than you think. The person page puts one name's work together so you can follow the thread through your shelf.
How do I get to a person page?
- Open an album from your shelf.
- On The Players card, tap a face. Or open Pressing chain and tap a name under Produced by or Mastered / cut by. The Full personnel list links too.
- You land on the person page, headed Credit thread.
Band members and groups open the artist page instead. If the person has no producer, engineer or mastering credit on your shelf, you go to the artist page, or to your shelf filtered to their credits.
What's at the top?
- Albums and Pressings counts, and how many decades they span.
- "The catalog reads", a line like "28% hard rock, 24% hip-hop".
- A bio, with the Wikipedia link when there is one.
- Your N on shelf shows only those records. Also see Artist Page appears for people who are artists too.
What did they do on each record?
Under Your collection, rows sort their credits by relationship: Their records, Bands they were in, Remixes they did, Their songs, other hands, Guest appearances, Behind the board. Empty rows don't show.
How do I see their sound and their career?
- Discography: records they worked on, most-collected first, with On shelf on yours.
- Signature Sound and Sound DNA (subgenres, genre roll-up, mood).
- Timeline: output by year and format.
- Defining Works, Chapters, and top collaborators, studios, mastering rooms and plants.
The same name also has a public page at gatefold.fm/person/(name).
