Add a record by pasting a link
You don't have to connect a service to add something from it. Paste one link into the Add tab and Gatefold works out which record it is.
Where do I paste a link?
- Add tab > Type.
- Paste the link into the box that reads Search or paste a link.
Which links work?
- Discogs: a release or master link. A release goes straight to that pressing; a master opens its pressing picker.
- Apple Music or iTunes: an album link, or a song link. A song always resolves to its whole album, never one track.
- Bandcamp: an album link adds the album; a track link adds only that track, as a digital single.
- Qobuz: an album link. A track link or an artist page is refused, with the reason on screen.
- archive.org: a live show, including shows from the etree live-music collection on archive.org. See the file import guide for what a show brings with it.
- A Gatefold album link also works.
What doesn't work?
- Spotify links aren't read. For Spotify, use a file import: file import.
- Tidal links aren't read yet. To bring Tidal in, connect it: Tidal.
