New release Friday
Records come out on Fridays, and Gatefold already knows whose records you keep. So the new ones from your artists come to you, ahead of everything else that week. It's free.
What's out this Friday?
- Kebab (3 dots) > New Releases. It opens on the coming Friday.
- Your artists come first: anyone you own or have on your Want list. View all shows the rest of that Friday.
- Page between months with the arrows. A record that drops on another day, like Record Store Day, gets its own row.
- The search box looks across every upcoming week.
Can I pre-order it?
Each card has Want, a preview, and Buy at your home store. Before release day a card says Pre-order, and Buy becomes Buy (Pre-order). A card tells you when it's already On your wantlist, or when You own a copy.
Will it tell me, or do I have to look?
- It tells you. Release Alerts, in Kebab (3 dots) > Settings > Notifications, is on by default.
- A push the morning a new album turns up from an artist you own or want, around 8 your time.
- An Out Today reminder on release day, unless you've added it to your shelf by then.
- A band that shares a name with one of yours doesn't set it off: Gatefold checks who made the record.
And when they tour it?
Concert Alerts push you when tickets go on sale near you for an artist you own, also on by default. On MOSH you also get a push before a presale opens. Concerts.
