Every way to add records
How do I get my records into Gatefold?
You don't need Discogs. You don't need anything. Grab a record and pick whichever of these is fastest for you.
- Is it in your hand? Scan the barcode. Add tab > Scan. One match and it's on your shelf, with an Undo if it got it wrong. Scan a barcode
- No barcode? Take a picture of the cover. Add tab > Cover. Cover
- A whole shelf? Take a picture of the spines. Add tab > Cover, then flip the switch to Spines. Gatefold queues up everything it can read, and you fix anything it got wrong and pick pressings. Free gets 5 shelf photos in total, MOSH gets 20 a day. Spines
- Is it playing right now? Add tab > Listen. It's Shazam built in: hold the phone near the speaker. App only. Listen
- Know the name or catalog number? Add tab > Type. A barcode number or a deadwax string works there too, and you can paste a Discogs, Apple Music, Qobuz, Bandcamp or archive.org link. Type, paste a link, add by hand
- Not sure which pressing you've got? Add it now, pick the pressing later. That's in the Type guide: Type, paste a link, add by hand.
Already have a list somewhere?
